The First online summer Festival of Russian Opera will be held in the Virtual Cultural Center of the ensemble “Russia” named after L.G.Zykina.

Russian State Academic Folk Ensemble “Russia” named after L.G. Zykina announces the First online Summer Festival of Russian Opera as part of the celebration of the 45th anniversary of its foundation.

The festival will be held on the platform of the Virtual Cultural Center (VCC) in the second half of June. The program includes performances from the ensemble’s repertoire, which will be presented on the air of the WCC on Tuesdays from June 21 to July 12 at 19:00 Moscow time.

The audience will be presented with a new reading of the musical fairy tale “The Snow Maiden”, based on the famous opera by N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov; A version for the orchestra of Russian folk instruments “Opera about how Ivan Ivanovich quarreled with Ivan Nikiforovich” by Gennady Banshchikov, staged by Dmitry Otyakovsky; Oleg Khromushin’s comic opera “Surgery”, directed by Olga Malikova; as well as a multimedia poem “Ruslan and Lyudmila”, directed by Vyacheslav Kornichenko and Daniil Zinchenko, especially for which an original arrangement of fragments of the opera M.I. was created. Glinka, a special “melting” film installation was created and the text of A.S. Pushkin’s poem was processed in a special way.

The summer online festival of Russian Opera is being held for the first time. The festival is organized by the Lyudmila Zykina State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble “Russia” under the leadership of Honored Artist of Russia Dmitry Dmitrienko.

The collective hopes to arouse interest in opera among Russian folk music groups, as well as expand the number of participants and in the future include new works in the festival program.

The «Russia» Ensemble has opened the first platform for the comprehensive promotion of Russian folk art online.

Russian Folk Ensemble “Russia” officially opened the first platform for the comprehensive promotion of Russian folk art online space “VCC” (Virtual Cultural Center) on June 29.

The ensemble held a concert in a new format — live on its updated official website. The concert host, artistic director and conductor of the ensemble Dmitry Dmitrienko greeted the audience for the first time in the recording studio, where the creator of the ensemble Lyudmila Zykina worked for many years.

“The concept of the new project is to give the audience the opportunity to visit this unique place, to see the studio and the memorial office of the singer, where, unfortunately, it is impossible to invite the audience. The VCC was created to promote Russian national art and unite all Russian song lovers” – said Dmitry Dmitrienko.

“Turn on the ensemble! — – the name of the concert is a call to the listeners of the collective and, in general, the fate of the project…” – says director Vyacheslav Kornichenko.

The concert was attended by: The winner of the International Competition “Romansiada” Irina Krutova, soloists of the Lyudmila Zykina Russia Ensemble: Valery Matryashin (domra), Olzhas Nurlanov (Bayan), Vladimir Dunaev (Balalaika), Luisa Nurieva (Domra), Alexey Abramenko (Russian harps), Vladislav Afanasyev (Domra), Anastasia Zakharova (Domra). The conductor and presenter is the Artistic Director of the collective Dmitry Dmitrienko. The sound engineer is Andrey Zhiltsov. Directed by Vyacheslav Kornichenko.
