The Little Humpbacked Horse

A fairy tale with an orchestra for the whole family

The play "The little hunchback horse" is a new stage embodiment of the famous fairy tale by Pyotr Yershov. The literary and musical composition are performed by theatre and film actor Vyacheslav Kornichenko and the ensemble “Russia” named after Lyudmila Zykina.

Music masterpieces of Russian culture of the XX century and the unique poetic style of Yershov are intertwined in a fabulous lace. Music is a full-fledged hero of the play, which in its own colourful way develops the drama of the well-known fairy tale in verse.

The scenery in the play is created in front of the audience. Sand patterns that are projected on a large screen, are drawn right during the action. Fairy-tale images appear under the light wave of the artist's hand on the sand, Lilia Chistina. The stage version of the fairy tale "the little hunchback horse", performed by the ensemble “Russia” named after Lyudmila Zykina, makes the fairy tale look like a bright, colourful dream that takes the audience into an unforgettable world of magic.
